Soft Reset

  1. Here first of all you have to connect the phone to a power outlet just using a power block & USB cable.
  2. Press & hold the “Volume Down” and “Power” buttons at the exact time for about 20 seconds.

However, your phone should reset and permit you to use it as usual after these steps. Whether the phone is in a start loop or displays “Downloading” & won’t go any further. Allow the phone sit & charge for at least 20 minutes/half an hour before trying to switch it on again.

Hard Reset

Whether you guys are encountering the consistent issues with your Galaxy Note 8, just a factory hard reset probably be the cure. A factory hard reset will clear all data and settings from the device & then return it to factory default settings.

Factory Reset – Option 1

  1. Here first of all you have to connect the phone to a power outlet simply using a power block & USB cable.
  2. Now swiych the phone entirely off. Make sure that all notification lights are off before you try the next step.
  3. Press & hold “Volume Up“, so then press & also release “Power“. Whether you guys did everything perfectly, the Samsung Galaxy logo will also appear. And it will then say “Recovery Booting” in the upper-left corner of the screen.
  4. Now use the “Volume Down” button just to toggle the selection to “wipe data/factory reset“. Next press the “Bixby” button in order to make that selection.
  5. Here use the “Volume Down” button to toggle the selection to “Yes — delete all user data“, then you should press the “Bixby” button.
  6. The factory reset process will start. At a time when it is finished, choose the “reboot system now” option, & your device will reboot in its factory reset condition.

Factory Reset – Option 2

  1. Simply from the Home screen, you should choose “Apps” > “Settings“.
  2. Choose “Personal“> “Back up and reset” > “Factory data reset“.
  3. A caution will appear warning you that your data will be removed. Whether you are sure you like to proceed with the hard reset, click “Reset device“.


How do I turn off the Factory Reset Protection?

However, the Factory Reset Protection stops access to your device just without your allowance. Similarly, it locks the device to your Google account. Whether you guys are changing ownership of the phone, you will like to disable this feature.

You are also able to disable Factory Reset Protection by clearing your Google account from the device simply before the factory reset. This can be completed underneath “Settings” > “Accounts and cloud” > “Accounts” > “Google” > Choose the account > Hard & Soft Reset  > “Remove account“.
